Faulty rudder found responsible in Turkish crash

A faulty rudder caused at least one of the three Turkish CN-235 crashes, according to the Turkish Air Forces Command.

The ''technical factor which had caused a failure in rudder system of one of CASA planes, was checked in all CN-235-type planes. Such controls are one of the flight security methods of Turkish Air Forces Command," the authorities said in a written statement.

The Turkish Air Forces Command said that all the CN-235s in the military fleet were checked, and the "reasons of technical failure" are now factored into "flight security methods."
