Parachute experiment claims Indonesian CN-235 and all six crew

An experiment to drop a 4000 kg load from a low-altitude parachute extraction system caused the loss of an Indonesian CN-235 and all six crewmen.

According to reports compiled by the Aviation Safety Network, the parachute harness detached and left the load on the open cargo door, causing the pilots to lose control of the plane.
